Creating a brand for a local coffee shop called Slingshot Coffee. The client wanted a brand that was both playful and bold that targeted an audience of young, hip professionals. This gave me parameters from which to work. I needed to create a brand that not only reflected the client’s desires but also one that make it easy for them to apply to their current assets and maintain consistency with the brand. The visual language that I created is inspired by their name, Slingshot. It invokes movement and the act of sending something through the air. This gave us the idea of creating a subscription service to enjoy the coffee from home, while still having a store front in the city. The bold and playful tone of the mailing materials and vibrating colors used throughout the system reflect the brand; it creates a fun, consistent, and easy brand that can be applied to their assets.
