Project

Vanessa's is a Chinese dumpling restaurant in New York City. Many students and young professionals frequent these small chain locations throughout the city. It is convenient and energetic. For the crowd that it brought in the branding didn't reflect the establishments fun, inexpensive, and so good.
For this project, I was inspired by Chinese comics. I chose to reference these because of the fun and youthfulness of comic books while being punchy and energetic. To accomplish this I used bold typefaces, suggestive copy, grids, and illustrations.
